Vintage glasses in film The Help

Friday, October 21st, 2011

Set to release in the UK on the 26th October, The Help is a film based on Kathryn Stockett’s  book of the same name.  Set in 1960’s Mississippi, Skeeter Phelan an aspiring journalist decides to interview the town’s African American maids and write a book detailing the day to day hardships they face taking care of prominent southern families.  While the film has divided the opinion of American audiences the feel of the 1960’s is undeniable and includes some fantastic cat eye sunglasses and upswept glasses.

Emma Stone as Skeeter Phelan wears frames similar to Black Eyewear Django and Vivien.

Two Days in Paris

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

We love the frame styles in Julia Delpy’s romantic comedy Two Days in Paris.  Delpy wrote, produced, directed, edited and composed the soundtrack to the film as well as starring as Marion with Adam Goldberg.  She also cast her own parents in the roles of  Marion’s parents.
