The Monocle

Something about a monocle brings to mind the comedic upper class gentleman or German military officer.  Worn in England from the 1830s onwards monocles are still sought after today and have become well-known and recognisable accessories to various icons and celebrities.

 

 

 

 

 

New Q in Latest Bond Film wears Two Tone Glasses

Ben Wishaw is the latest research and development specialist Q in Skyfall 007 and he wears some classic two tone glasses befitting his technical (geeky) occupation.  For special agent geek chic try the Anglo American Byker or the Black Eyewear Dolphy.

 

 

 

 

Ruby Sparks

This quirky film from the directors of Little Miss Sunshine is an original take on an unconventional love story, starring Paul Dano as Calvin Weir-Fields and Zoe Kazan as his invention Ruby Sparks.  Calvin wears classic frames throughout in true literary style.  While director Jonathan Dayton also wears frames similar to Black Eyewear Woody.

Good Bye Amy Pond

This week’s episode of Dr Who, The Angels Take Manhattan, saw the Doctor say good bye to Amy Pond.  The Doctor and Amy both wore vintage round glasses similar to the Black Eyewear Chico or the Anglo American 400.
