Roope Vintage Goes to Goodwood Revival

Monday, September 30th, 2013

Roope Vintage was at Goodwood again this year and with a record number of attendees we were pleased to see a large proportion of them in our stand over the 3 day event!

Here is a selection of our favourite photos.  If you would like to see more of our photos please visit our Facebook Album and YouTube video.

Fabulous Fashionistas

Friday, September 27th, 2013

Did you see the Channel 4 Cutting Edge documentary Fabulous Fashionistas?  Six ladies with an average age of 80 not afraid to be bold when it comes to fashion and eyewear!

If you are similarly daring go for colour and size, the brighter and bigger the better.  We recommend the following Black Eyewear and Vintage 80s frames for making a statement.

Saving Mr Banks

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013

We enjoyed Saving Mr Banks, starring Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks as P. L. Travers (author of Mary Poppins) and Walt Disney, the film depicts the meeting of the two children’s giants during the film production of her novel.  The film features typical eyewear styles of the late 1950s.  Definitely one to watch!

Rush

Sunday, September 8th, 2013

Director Ron Howard’s latest film Rush is due in cinemas from September 13th.  Following the rivalry between racing drivers Niki Lauda and James Hunt the film’s release coincides perfectly with Goodwood Revival (where we will be exhibiting at Stand 139) and features fantastic 1970s style sunglasses, aviators of course!

Chris Hemsworth (as James Hunt) wears a Carrera frame.  If you like the look but are looking for something more affordable try the Black Eyewear Konitz.
