Roope Vintage had a blast at Goodwood Revival last weekend. There was interest in our glasses from a new generation of vintage enthusiasts and we caught up with some familiar faces from St Albans. As always the atmosphere was fantastic and we received wonderful feedback about Black Eyewear and Robert Roope’s designs.
Selfridges has launched ‘Bright Old Things’ which includes a window designed by Robert Roope showcasing Black Eyewear sunglasses.
Here is a sneak peak but be sure to see it in person (look out for the giant reproduction of Robert’s harmonica in the Central Atrium and visit the BOT’s Boutique)!
The Goodwood Revival is not only the world’s most historic motor race meeting but is also the only meeting to be staged completely in a nostalgic time capsule of the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

It has been exactly one week since Roope Vintage exhibited at Goodwood Revival 2012. This year’s festival broke all the records and was a sell-out event with a record number of attendees! Motor racing hero Dan Gurney was honoured in style and celebrities Ewan McGregor, Kim Cattrall and Rowan Atkinson were spotted amongst the motor racing enthusiasts. We had a great time too and it was lovely to catch up with familiar faces we haven’t seen for a while.
