We enjoyed Saving Mr Banks, starring Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks as P. L. Travers (author of Mary Poppins) and Walt Disney, the film depicts the meeting of the two children’s giants during the film production of her novel. The film features typical eyewear styles of the late 1950s. Definitely one to watch!
Emma Thompson as P.L. Travers arrives in L.A. greeted by a bespectacled Paul Giamatti in fantastic 50s glasses.

As we bid Elizabeth Taylor, who died recently at the age of 79, a fond farewell we take a look at one of her most incredible performances as Martha in the film adaptation of Edward Albee’s play Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. In the film Martha’s husband George was played by Richard Burton. The character George, an associate history professor, wears retro 50s frames similar to our Retro 1D.
